  1. Most Underrated Systems, Teachers, Books, etc

Dao Zhen - Jesse? was on the same workshop we were on up on Mount Wudang some years before. I didn't see him on Bums lately, but what he posted before looked like notes from Hu's lectures. Like Creation said Dao Zhen talked about Hu being his primary teacher. Hu is a practitioner, no question, and I would say well accomplished in practice. It is difficult to find out anything about him though. No kiddin, he didn't talk about himself in the whole two weeks we were there. He's like someone you would walk past in the street. He would disappear in a crowd. Yet he has something about him...... it isn't easy to define...but it is there. I still practice his Nei Gong and Damo Qigong. It is like a slow burner. Powerful stuff. I would go back if I could. I hope I'll make it back again sometime. Maybe make it next year.
  2. Master Wang Tin Jun is dead at the age of 54

the body is only a temporary container......losing it is not a value judgement......i reckon none of us know what inner realms master wang tin jun or anyone else did or didn't reach in their life.....i didn't know him, but only heard good things
  3. Ch'an/Zen and the Tao

interesting thread - fits with with a blog I found recently on taoiststudy.com that looks at the buddhist ox-herding pictures and explains it as a description of the taoist practice of alchemy. the beginning of the blog has a couple of pages that link buddhist and taoist texts and suggest as you do that chan and zen are more like taoism.
  4. Check out www.taoiststudy.com - it looks to have quite good information though I only just start to check it out. Cheers All
  5. Who here practices alchemy?

look at damo-qigong.net. you can find a heap of internal alchemy information, texts, material. it is Dao Zhen's teacher's website. his teacher teaches this stuff in open workshops. next one next year.
  6. any info on damo qigong?

Just found the Taobums site. Looks like some pretty good discussion threads running, and looks like I could contribute some info about the damo-qigong site. Back some, I took a course on internal alchemy in China with Hu Xue Zhi and damo-qigong is his website. Hu's the real deal. He knows theory you don't normally find. His alchemy practices pack a punch that lasts long term. He's real low key, a real ordinary dude. But knows what he's talking about. I looked for the Dao Zhen posts you mention - still working out navigation of the taobums site, so there might be a heap more. The ones I found are a lot like the same Hu materials and teaching I got. Like you said, it really shines. Really great writing. Anyway, if you google damo-qigong you'll find a real library of interesting materials
