I was thinking of getting a Kuan Yin statue but non of the ones i have looked at are close enough to what i saw in my minds eye, i do however like this one and am considering buying it.... now if only i knew where to put it.

wow well my experiences were no where near that profound, just in my minds eyes, didn't have her actually standing in front of me or anything although perhaps you did not mean that. You have caught my interest with this oneness blessing, first time reading/hearing about it. Also it confuses me is Tara and Kwan Yin the same being, they look different.

Not sure really what to ask here, i guess i want to know more about kuan yin because for the first time i years i saw a woman wearing white standing on lotus in my minds eye whilst i was meditating and i remember others also mentioned something similar.

Years ago when i was more virtuous, which is probably why this happened, i practiced all of DVD1 and when i was on the final meditation ''wind above the clouds'' some energy built up in front of my face and moved to my left jaw which is stiff and cracks allot as if it knew to go there to heal it. I never thought about it but i guess it really was like a cloud of energy, the only other time i recall some really strong energy appear relatively far away from my body was during the first meditation on dvd 2 the 5 60 80 40 30 meditation... for some reason i find that meditation uncomfortable to practice, that time i felt energy appear in front of my right hand like a flame.

Hello, been a while... i am going to try and hold flying phoenix classes in my local village, i remember earl grey saying that is ok as long as i don't charge. I was thinking of buying a camera to film my practice and perhaps upload it to YouTube so forum members could watch if they so wished. If needed i can make it only available with a password, either way i wont be teaching the breath percentage or explaining what i am doing just going through the motions so to speak. I spoke to a local tai chi practitioner who said of course it would be preferable if i ... well i will just show you the email i recieved, he pointed out that i bastardized the word chi kung with qi gong to make chi gong. I was wondering exactly what the difference is between the words, i would prefer to say qigong personally. I don't recall regulating the mind being mentioned for practicing flying phoenix... apart from doing it somewhere quiet where you cannot be disturbed.

Making noise during practice, when i practice i feel the need/automatically start to make a grumbling noise and it seems the chi is stronger when i do... thing is if i want to practice with people i dont really want to be doing that kinda embarrassing . Also laugh i little sometimes, so is this an indication i have some kind of damage or channel open which is making me do this, is this a problem?

Hi, for the sleeper meditation at the end of a repetition you bring the palms back together to sky meditation pose then you open them and bring them back to your knees... if your doing more than one repetition do you still bring them to your knees? Im guessing that is a yes but i just want to make sure. Also i saw there is another addition to the meditation which is at the near end of a repetition. I will have to try this.

Ok, i take it you mean do the standing meditations after the seated ones? I often do DVD 3 before the seated. Also something i noticed caffeine seems to worsen the chi for me. One more question the last meditation on DVD 7 after each rep do you put your hand on your knees or do you have them palms facing the sky as when your doing the breath control sequence, it just seems more natural then putting them on your knees. I do plan on learning the long form at some point soon.

I have been doing the second and third meditation on DVD 7 consecutively allot recently... its seems to have loosened me up and made more flexible as well as giving me other health benefits.

Hi Terry, i was still slightly confused because the presses are going to be a different number to the palms facing each other so i watched the DVD again in the break down i think you do 3 presses and 2 palms facing each other but when you do the whole thing after the breath percentage you do 4 presses and 3 palms facing each other followed of course by 2 pushes and 2 flat palm to clenched fists. Also i think when you explained the presses you meant left palm on right wrist instead of left palm on right palm. Anyway i hope i am not being too pedantic, i really do love this meditation and i wonder why its called moonbeam splashes on water... got to call it something i guess.

So you dont do the breathing sequence with arms by your side like he does in the DVD? Also how many repetitions is recommended for the sleeper meditations, the 1st med on dvd 7, the 50 20 10 ?

How do we get to that level of cultivation... an hour practice everyday and dont do anything stupid like drink yourself silly?
