Who would've thought the internet would be our teacher...

Recommended Posts

Hello all, I'm new here and have found many useful threads on this forums through google searches. What an amazing time we live in, where all the information is at our fingertips, hopefully helping to advance the spirituality of the planet as a whole. Just 20-30 years ago none of this was possible, and everyone needed a physical teacher to learn about the universe. So for this, and all of you, I am truly grateful.

Thank you!

Hello moodlover, and welcome to the forums!

Glad to have you aboard. Yes, we're lucky to live in an age of boundless information. I guess that could be seen as a burden in some ways, too.

Please take the time to read the two posts pinned at the top of this Welcome page and take a look at the forum terms and rules. This covers all you need to know when getting started.

For the first week you will be restricted to ten posts per day but after that you can post as much as you like. Also, until you’ve posted fifteen times in the forums, you’ll be a “Junior Bum” with somewhat restricted access and will be allowed only two private messages per day.

Good luck in your pursuits and best wishes to you,

SC and the TTB team

Okay thanks, so I have read your rules but am still a bit confused. How may I start my own thread in the general discussion?

It can be a little daunting in the beginning, you're certainly not the first to ask a basic question like that.

You go to the General Discussion forum:

http://thetaobums.com/forum/1-general-discussion/

And scroll down past the various sub-forums (in this case, it's Buddhist, Hindu, Esoteric and Occult, etc...) until you get to the actual General Discussion threads and see the "Start new topic" button (It's black with white text), click that and I think you'll figure it out from there :)

BUT before you post in General Discussion, consider the possibilty that your thread might be better suited in a different forum. Also, it happens from time to time that a moderator makes that decsion and moves a thread into a more appropriate forum. That's only for for organisational purposes.
