This thread is too philosophical for me.

That's why most all wear headgear to cover their head. Trying to keep the thoughts inside.

Tinfoil hats are supposed to be good for that.

Not tried one (yet).

Maybe after another few months here.

The Tao of ................

I cannot think of any subject that one could NOT put in there.

True, and its a bit like discussing acieving gong fu in any endeavor.

The Tao of Stressing Oneself to an Ulcer does sound odd but it could be an antithesis for didactical purposes. Some people have refined this art and while perilious it will force you to realize a closer relationship to the Tao of Healthier Living and Mindset.

The Tao of Vengence...

Many people will oppose that. But I am adamant it has its place.

Well, I must admit that it is valid as it is a part of human nature within many (the need for vengence).

Best served cold.

:-)

I would go the next step - best left unserved. Prevention is always best.

Very wise.

It's a circular path is vengeance.

Tends to come back and bite folks in the bottom.

Yeah, one the one hand, getting vengeance causes one to feel good for a while. But then, the tables turn, and the taken vengeance returns. Violence begets violence.

Sure...one must be prepared for the consequences.

I would rather accept the consequences and engage than turn the other cheek EVERY time.

Minimise the warfare, but if someone takes the utter piss, you gotta put the smack down.

Yep. That is why I mentioned "prevention" above. I don't think I ever "turn the other cheek" any more. Prevent the first slap and there is no turning to do. And yes, prevention may include violence, but hopefully not. (It's easier to walk away.)

Harbouring resentments and plotting revenge, real or imagined; usually damages no one but the resentful plotter.

I tend towards negotiation rather than confrontation.

Been a union rep these 30 years and more past and never once called members out on strike.
