Could someone just start a thread called "RongzomFan and Ismiz Biri bicker-fest," please? Then move all of their bickering to that thread.

Its already there in the Pit.

He abandons pitted threads and comes back up here to start up again .

(sorry Brian ... to continue)

Rara; that is 'normal' animal behaviour for some animals. It has to do with proximity to humans and how they have been bought up in that proximity.

I feed the 'pet cow' in the back paddock a honey sandwich now and then. After she calms down and finishes checking my hands and makes sure there isn't more she lets me pat and scratch her. put her arm around her neck and she will learn on to me.

The others move away if I go into their paddock. if I go into Diasy's paddock she is likely to run to me in honey anticipation. A stranger would think they are being charged at. I just stand there and she pulls up inches in front of me.

The same with dogs ... they can exhibit strange behaviour , especially if they have been treated more like people than dogs.

You wanted to stroke the horse but why would a horse be interested in that ... unless there is a carrot in the offing, or unless you have a special bond with an animal.

They will persist; a friend used to keep an apple in her back jeans pocket, one day the horse reaches around and bites it , except that day there was no apple there = one very sore arse.

Animals are opportunists ... just like we are.

Now ... all this can apply to a 'familiar spirit' as well. Some people have opinions and animals but don't have the knowledge of proper handling ( even with dogs, they have to get in 'experts' to show them what's gone wrong). Then things get out of hand.

I suggest the same might apply to the above topics about spirits and 'non-physical entities'.

There are certain rules and guidelines when dealing with and the way to treat 'spirits', just as there are with animals;

here is an example for you:

. “Thou therefore who desirest Magical Gifts, be sure that thy soul is firm and steadfast; for it is by flattering thy weaknesses that the Weak Ones will gain power over thee. Humble thyself before thy Self, yet fear neither man not spirit. Fear is failure, and the forerunner of failure: and courage is the beginning of virtue.

Therefore fear not the Spirits, but be firm and courteous with them; for thou hast no right to despise or revile them; and this too may lead thee astray. Command and banish them, curse them by the Great Names if need be; but neither mock nor revile them, for so assuredly wilt thou be lead into error.

Be thou therefore prompt and active as the Sylphs, but avoid frivolity and caprice; be energetic and strong like the Salamanders, but avoid irritability and ferocity; be flexible and attentive to images like the Undines, but avoid idleness and changeability; be laborious and patient like the Gnomes, but avoid grossness and avarice.

20. So shalt thou gradually develop the powers of thy soul, and fit thyself to command the Spirits of the elements. For wert thou to summon the Gnomes to pander to thine avarice, thou wouldst no longer command them, but they would command thee. Wouldst thou abuse the pure beings of the woods and mountains to fill thy coffers and satisfy thy hunger of Gold? Wouldst thou debase the Spirits of Living Fire to serve thy wrath and hatred? Wouldst thou violate the purity of the Souls of the Waters to pander to thy lust of debauchery? Wouldst thou force the Spirits of the Evening Breeze to minister to thy folly and caprice? Know that with such desires thou canst but attract the Weak, not the Strong, and in that case the Weak will have power over thee. “ {Liber Librae }

Good advice. Incidentally, salamanders were the stars of the book The Body Electric (Robert Becker), due to their uncanny ability to regrow limbs. An interesting creature. Very hardy. I don't think they get the respect they deserve.

I once had a pet salamander named Rodney. An interesting creature. I don't remember ever seeing him eat anything I gave him, and I must have held him in captivity for months. I even took him to my fourth-grade class where we kept him with the geckos.

A remarkably hardy animal. I never once saw him eat, but on the day I set him free, he ran hard and fast back into the forest.

Robert Becker claimed he could get a salamander to grow a leg instead of an arm by reversing the polarity of its electric field . . . I think. Can't say I'm an expert on the subject, I just skimmed that book in Barnes and Noble a couple years ago.

Jumping back in, in relation to Episode 3. Something that IB and RF might want to try and answer (If you're reading) Please no arguing about anything irrelevant though! All are welcome though if you have any insight on animal channeling....

I just passed a couple of horses and went up to the gate and called them over. One came running and was obviously after some food. It kept licking my hand and trying to find something on me.

I played along for a bit, stroking it etc. Then the horse started to get a bit annoying. Obviously, a bit needy...but it really attached to me and even snarled a little as it didn't get what it wanted. I told it I'd come back with a carrot one day, and as I left, I got a really freaky sense from it. The horse didn't move as I walked off. It just stood there and stared. I almost felt guilty...but I continued to stay strong and walk away haha.

But my question is this. If I went back and fed it (which I sorta want to) am I going to get into a bit of trouble? Will it become dependent? Will it get upset when I leave again? Is it good for its soul to feed it when it has characteristics of, what Buddhists would describe as, a hungry ghost? To me, there seems to be an obvious reason why it came up to me and the other one hung back. This one seemed like a drug addict. He was eating his hay but wasn't satisfied, so he came to scrounge off me. I just wanted to stroke it. I get there are nicer things to eat than hay, but this was persistence at its finest. Like a robber holding up someone with no wallet, yet continuing to search the victim despite knowing he has nothing!

What are your thoughts?

The animals also have astral bodies. Mediums can see and talk with these astral bodies.

If you ask my opinion, you should have turned back to feed the horse.

If only I had food on me. I may visit another day.
