I'd like to use the taobums chat in external program, not in the browser
Is that possible ? What kind of chat is this ? IRC, Jabber or what ?
Thx

Hi Buscon,
Unfortunatly I've got no idea. I don't really play with the chat, I had a quick look but couldn't find any "info" Sorry.
Perhaps someone might know what sort of plug in a V3 powerboard would generally use.

it's java, there is a module to download here but the basic client uses a web page
https://service.para...m/downloads.php
http://www.parachat....personal/basic/
someone tried an IRC client to connect but nothing furhter on what happened
http://www.xtremevbt...ad.php?t=250032
you could try these settings in irc and see?
alternatively you can open it in a different browser. e.g. browsing taobums in firefox while chatting in chromium to prevent from crashing firefox.

Users behind firewalls may need to inform their local IT/network administrator to allow TCP connections on ports 9000-9009 at client.invisionchat.com

thanks for the info.
I've actually already tried with IRC using as host client.invisionchat.com and all the ports between 9000-9009 but it doesn't work.
I think it's just a matter of port. I'll try again and let you know.

I always thought I'd found my "tech support" title in a cornflakes box
Thanks for the info and good luck with the project.
